J.B. Priestley’s copy. First UK edition of one of the most important plays of the twentieth century, with the bookplate of J.B. Priestley. Preceded by Beckett’s original French version (En attendant Godot, 1952) and a New York edition in 1954, the present edition is the first to publish the play as performed in London in 1955, its English-language premiere, with the alterations to comply with censorship of British theatres.
