Page 305 misnumbered 395: 465 misnumbered 495. Contemporary calf, with old paper label. The front and rear pastedown are made from an earlier publication, a classical work [?Theocrates] with a commentary in Black letter, in double column, with several annotations in an earlier hand. Early signature of James Betton to title page, and pithy annotations by him on page 7, 439, 442, 491, and qq2r: eg The usual consequences of Court favours ; The Jesuits the authors of the Queen s incontinence . Please note, leaf K2 is not present (a part-title), having been sometime removed. Occasional light staining, as if sometime having become wet, but overall clean and in good condition (please see photos). A very interesting work, and most difficult to find in such contemporary condition: please note lacking one part-title, but priced accordingly.
