An extremely rare original photograph album of Lipton at sea, and on his yacht on an overseas tour, and showing racing yachts. Album size: approx 29cm by 23cm, original maroon leather, skilfully rebacked to match, marbled endpapers. 32 pages used (ie. about half the album). Detailed description as follows. Page 1: two images (approx 13cm x 17.5cm [5¿ x 7¿]) Lipton on bridge of large yacht, Lipton on deck, both in rainy weather; Page 2 blank, Page 3 two images showing crew, and Lipton by the rail (slightly blurred); Page 4: Lipton braced on bridge with captain and navigator (12cm x 9.5cm), tug towing three sailing boats (12cm x 9.5cm); Page 5 cards (?) on deck in nice weather, sailboat in breeze, Page 6, sails (race?) in distance against shore-line, naval vessel with two funnels (no flag); Page 7, town on shore, houses on shore; Page 8: headland, houses below fir trees; Page 9 restaurant on outcrop called ¿Cafe restaurant Bellevue F. Jaederholmen¿, white steam yacht against shore; Page 10-13, houses and vessels against shoreline (northern Europe?); pages 14-17 four large coloured commercial images of Sweden numbered 7133 [Utsikt Fra Mosabacke], 7134 (?), 7136 [Stockhom Kungl Slottet] 7131 Stockholm [Kungs Tradg Arden]; page 18: shore scene, white palace; Page 19 Lipton dozing by helm of motor launch, next to gentleman in glasses, local people. Page 20: two groups on upper deck, Page 21: shore scene, motor launch showing flag; page 21-22 four inland photos, of town, walls, ruined church, and church. Page 23 ruined church arches, relaxing on deck. Page 24 sitting on the prow: posing in a funnel; 25-26 shore scenes; 26-27; Lipton in deck chair with ladies, one of a young man. 28 faded scene of women and men seated, a hulk, tucked in press photo stamped Mercury Hobart, ¿Crossing the line under Jury Rig¿.
