Regretfully, due to Covid-19, we have decided to cancel our fairs up until the end of December.  However, at this stage, we cannot confirm if our London Christmas Fair will take place but we will keep you updated.
Book Description
16mo. 37 titles in 42 volumes. The complete Oxford World’s Classics edition. Original blind-stamped navy cloth, gilt. Silk marker ribbons. Five pre-war volumes in d/ws and five post-war volumes in illustrated jackets by Lynton Lamb. A mixed set. About a third of the volumes have a little spotting to the top edge and about a quarter are faded to some degree on their spine. The American Senator lacks the half-title. Five volumes bear the ink ownership of John Stephenson of Newburn, Northumberland on their flyleaf and three volumes have the bookplate of H.R. Creswick on their front paste down. Some rubbing and a little loss to the d/ws. Generally at least very good +.
Dealer Notes
Sixteen volumes are first printings in the World’s Classics and several other volumes are the first appearance as ‘double volumes’ in the series. The complete edition of Anthony Trollope’s fiction (and Autobiography) as issued in the pocket-sized World’s Classics by Oxford University Press. Good clear print.
