REPRINT OF 1920, WHEELWRIGHT EDITION. Large 8vo. (8.6 x 6 inches). Illustrated with 16 fine full colour plates. Some light foxing to a few of the text pages, not affecting the colour plates, otherwise a very good copy in late twentieth century leather binding by Sangorski and Sutcliffe of London. Half dark red morocco. The spine with raised bands, each with gilt piping. Compartments with gilt ruling and lettering. Burgundy cloth on boards. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Previous owner bookplate to the front pastedown endpaper. A small area of loss to the leather on the very bottom edge of the front board, otherwise a lovely copy of this scarce edition of Dumas' classic story.
