Book Description

A fine copy, with just a hint of dusting around the edges. A guide to the resort areas served by the Railway, and its dedicated hotels and tourist services. Several in-text road maps (including a long folding one The "Route des Alpes et du Jura") and photographs suggest scenic routes around the resorts to be toured by car, with chapters on The French Alps, The Riviera, From Annecy to Chamonix, etc., ending with From Mont Blanc to Lake Leman, and two pages on Winter Sports.
Dealer Notes
Published for the US market in the middle of WWI, when much of North-east France was under the gun and filling with trenches. No real reference to the war is made, but the limitation of motor-car lines in the summer of 1916, printed on the rear cover, might be a hint (see photo).
