All three volumes are 1st Editions. Volume I has page numbers 10 and 11 transposed. Volume II has ‘treachesrouly’ on line 24 of page 129. Volume III has broken bracket at the bottom of the title page after "translation". Bound without half titles and adverts. Vol. I has a repair to the lower joint. There are a number of nicks and small closed tears to the bottom margins of vol.II, none affecting the text, marks to a couple of pages and one half loose page with a closed tear. Vol. II has an old repair to a page corner. The boards of all are somewhat rubbed. Increasingly hard to find as a first edition set.
