[4], 76pp., 3 hand-coloured engraved plates (including one of tints), 4 lithograph plates, and text woodcuts. A fine copy in original dark blue blind and gilt stamped cloth. With binders’ ticket of Burn, 37 & 38 Kirby St. Slight foxing to the uncoloured plates. Very scarce, the only edition to be printed. Copies we have sold in the past show that the work was issued with two variant binder’s tickets. This one was issued without adverts, and the Remnants and Edwards issue had adverts. They also display some variance with the style of the gilt framework to the title-lettering on the upper board. small 8vo. Sherwood Gilbert and Piper. 1844.
