George Braziller, in association with Magdalene College, Cambridge. 1968. ~ Caxton’s manuscript translation of Ovid’s classic was at some point separated into two halves, in what came to be known as the Pepys and the Phillipps manuscripts. They were reunited in the 1960’s when the Phillipps manuscript (Books I-IX) was discovered and redeemed to Magdalene College. To help finance the reunion of the manuscript, the publisher George Braziller proposed the publication of this facsimile edition.
