Beautifully illustrated with colour illustrated title page, 16 full page colour plates, plus 45 mono engravings throughout the text. A fine copy in a beautiful fine leather binding, unsigned but very likely by Bayntun Riviere. Full navy blue polished calf. Spine with raised bands, decorated with dotted line design in gilt. Compartments double ruled and decorated with Crusoe on desert island motifs in gilt. Twin green and tan morocco labels, lettered and ruled in gilt. Boards with double ruled borders. Board edges with diagonal lines to corners and inner boards with gilt dentelles. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. One small scratch to the front board but overall a very near fine, beautifully bound copy of a well illustrated book.
