Illustrated with six engraved plates, each volume also complete with engraved half title page. Externally smart, with just light bumping to the extremities and spine ends, occasional light rubbing to the boards, spines just a touch dried. Half title and title page loose but present to first volume. Bindings remaining generally firm. Some light foxing throughout, with some grubby handling marks to early leaves of second volume. A smart late 18th century example of Defoe's enduring classic.
