The Botanic Annual, by Robert Mudie, published by James Cochrane, London in 1832. Full title The Botanic Annual, or familiar illustrations of the structure, habits, economy, geography, classification, and principal uses of plants…and a short sketch of coniferae. 446 pages, all edges gilt, with original boards and a section of the original spine relaid on cloth. Illustrated with several woodcuts and two full-page tissue-guarded plates. A small press cutting (7 cm by 2 cm) from the late c.19th has been stuck to the free front endpaper. Good condition, with rubbed edges to the boards, a small section of front board lost and the spine as described.
