12mo. Unpaginated (last leaf: O12). [BOUND WITH] Companion to the Altar shewing the nature and necessity of a sacramental preparation. London; Beecroft. Frontis, pp 72. [BOUND WITH] The Whole Book of Psalms collected into English Metre by Thomas Sternhold. Cambridge: 1771. Contemporary signature Edwrd Thieler [?] to recto of Companion to the Altar, later signature Mary Garbett Augst 1821 to flyleaf, and to head of title page, bound in very attractive straight-grained calf, with gilt spine, bookbinder s label H & J Parker, Hereford to front paste down. Corner of F1 torn with loss of text, otherwise in good condition. An attractive eighteenth century provincial binding, unusually with the binder s label, itself rather rare. Not in British Library s list of binders; not in Society of Bookbinder s list of binders.
