The Art of Aviation - A Handbook upon Aeroplanes and their Engines with Notes upon Propellers. Illustrated with half tone Frontis, 94 half tone text illustrations and 12 folding diagrams to the rear. Caramel cloth covers with gilt lettering and colour paste down of a sketch entitled "The Aerial Schorcher of the Future" by E. Wake Cook to upper board, gilt lettering to the spine, bevelled edges and black endpapers. In very good condition, overall clean with light rubbing to boards and spine, dulling to the spine's gilding and repaired tear to top corner of rear board. Internally clean and crisp, including all the folding diagrams. Unfortunately with corner creases to several pages, pencil annotations to margins and webbing showing in a couple of places, but all still firm. xiii, 253pp plus 12 folding plates.
