Book Description

This is volume 2 of an occasional publication of the Navy Records Society. This is a lovely copy with very little evidence of any shelf wear and the text block clean and bright. This book is the printed copy of the three rolls of vellum featuring paintings of all Henry VIII's naval ships completed in 1546 Anthony Anthony a clerk in the ordnance office. The photographic colour illustrations of the 58 ships are on average 65.6% actual size. On the inner board is, in pencil, the name of a previous owner with a brief comment.
