FIRST, AND ONLY EDITION. 8vo. (8.3 x 5.4 inches). vi, 167pp. A bright and clean copy internally. Publishers green moire silk covered boards with gilt lettering to the front board. Single blind ruled borders to both boards and double gilt ruled lines to the top and bottom of the spine. Black coated endpapers. The binding edges are a little rubbed but overall this is a very good copy. A rare volume that contains 23 short stories set in India and Burma, 12 Soldiering Yarns about life in the British military and 11 Strange tales, including 3 Supernatural Ghost stories. Many of the stories had previously been published in the Madras Mail and the Indian Field. ---- A search of OCLC/Worldcat shows just one copy, that in the British Library. The BL catalogue gives the publication date as 1905.
