Book Description

Published by Harpur and Murray, Moray Press, Derby, 1895. Number 38 of a limited edition of 55 copies printed on hand made paper and signed by the author. Quarter leather spine, green cloth boards. Gilt lettering and decoration to spine and to front board. In the case of the front board the lettering and the flower fronds extend seamlessly across the boards and onto the leather. A similiar flower pattern is blind stamped to the rear board. Teg. 10.25ins x 8ins, [xiv], 160pp text plus frontis and 11 full page, tissue guarded plates. There is a bookplate on the front pastedown and facing it is a full page presentation inscription to a Thomas H. Hendall signed by the author from an address in Leamington and dated 1906.Internally VG. Externally, quite worn to top and bottom of spine and rubbed to corners, but covers still nice and bright.
