Blue cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine under illustrated light blue dustwrapper. 9.5ins x 6.5ins, [ii], xiv, 311pp plus frontis portrait. Also some illustrations, charts and sketch maps within the text. The book consists of 18 papers and the subject matter ranges widely. Amongst the titles are "Some beneficed clergy in 13th century Hertfordshire", "Life and Death in Elizabethan Cheshunt", "Aldbury and other village greens in Hertfordshire", "Hertford's Borough Charter's of 1680 and 1688", "Nathaniel Salmon: Hertfordshire's neglected historian" and "The Hertfordshire Farmer in the age of the Industrial revolution".
