Published by John Bowyer Nichols & Son, London, 1822-1841, 1st editions. Two volume set complete (ie all published). Later quarter leather binding with blue cloth boards. Five raised bands to spine, gilt lettering to spine. Teg. Folio, 17.5ins x 11.25ins, marbled endpapers. Volume one: [iv], 780pp, [ii], plus frontis and 23pp plates. Volume two: [iv], 342pp, [vi] plus frontis and 13pp plates. Total of 38 plates - lacks the portrait frontis plate. Very large number of pedigrees listed. Also some in-text illustrations. Many of the plates were drawn by E. Blore. Occasional foxing and brown stains. A few of the plates affected by the foxing. Some offsetting opposite the in-text illustrations. Nb although volume one contains the dates 1822-1830 there is a note at the end of volume 2 dated 1841, concerning a meeting held in 1837. A VG well preserved set. Heavy set, expensive to post overseas.
