Sir Toady Crusoe

Book Description
Sir Toady Crusoe is a lively and imaginative children’s novel by Scottish writer S. R. Crockett, first published in 1905. A follow-up to his earlier book Sir Toady Lion, this story takes young readers on another round of playful adventures, full of mischief, mock-heroics, and childhood make-believe. Crockett captures the energy and humour of boyhood with a light, affectionate tone that pokes gentle fun at grand adventure tales like Robinson Crusoe.
The book is brought to life with charming black-and-white illustrations by Gordon Browne, one of the best-known illustrators of the time. His drawings add warmth and character to the story, making it a delight to read or collect. A fine example of Edwardian children’s fiction, perfect for those who enjoy spirited storytelling from a bygone era.
