Dealer Notes
Oasis was a slim volume published in Cairo in 1943 by active servicemen, including Keith Douglas, G. S. Fraser, Hamish Henderson, Sorley MacLean, John Pudney, and others, in the interval between the fighting. This more substantial volume contains the original poems, plus a selection of poems by the poets already mentioned, and hitherto unpublished poems by other servicemen submitted, often in the hand-written, or typed originals that had been passed around hand-to-hand in the desert. Also with one or two cartoons and maps.
