‘Poems of Matthew Arnold – 1840-1867’ ~ with intro by Sir A.T.Quiller-Couch; pub by Humphrey Milford, London 1913; 8vo format, fully bound in red leather with 5 raised bands, gilt inscription on front cover and gilt lettering and design on spine; green marbled end papers and silk head bands, with book plate on inside page - book was a gift from ‘Wyggeston Grammar School For Boys Leicester’ in 1927; frontispiece of M Arnold, 488pps; some staining on bottom part of front & back covers, and a small amount of wear on covers, also the right hand hinge has some wear on the outside, otherwise book is tight in binding and in excellent condition. This is a good clean copy and is a decorative, attractive book to have on ones bookshelves.
