Hardback. 64pp. Illustrated by E. Heatly. Two colour plates and black and white drawings throughout. Green cloth with pale blue and black titles and illustration to front. Black titles to spine. Lilian Gask (1865-1942) was a writer of animal stories for children from the Edwardian period to the second world war. She was the sister of British Australian crime writer Arthur Gask. Cloth is faded and rubbed to all edges. Small crushed area to spine. Few other small dents and dings. Prelims are tanned. One plate has been tipped back in, more than once perhaps. Small area clipped from front endpaper probably removing previous owner’s name. Clean and sound.
