Neate B201; Yakushi B284; S & B B46; not in Perret. Bryant had accompanied Shipton on the 1935 Everest reconnaissance. The present work discusses the contribution of New Zealanders to mountaineering, notably on Everest, with Hillary’s successful ascent. Bryant devotes a chapter to the 1935 reconnaissance. This reprint appearead in December 1953 after the September first edition. The contents appear to be unchanged, but the rear wrapper has been reset with new information regarding the funds raised by the book.
