First edition. Folio (approx. 12 x 16"). pp. 40 + inserted supplements; illustrations throughout including one large double-page portrait of Admiral Togo from an original sketch by H. C. Seppings White, one large double-page sepia illustration loosely inserted; good in original printed wrappers, some browning to upper wrapper, rather frayed with slight loss to extremities of wrappers.
Dealer Notes
An issue of the ILN largely devoted to the siege of Port Arthur, with numerous illustrations from sketches by correspondents present in the war. Three loosely inserted Supplements comprise a large illustration of the survivors of the siege, and two further supplements with a narrative of the siege by Charles Lowe, designed to be folded to form a small booklet of 16pp.
