Celebrating 50 years of book fairs 

Book Description

Published by Longmans, Green, Reader & Dyer, London, 1870, 1st edition. Green cloth boards. Gilt lettering and decoration to front board within a double gilt border. Gilt decoration to spine. Aeg. Small folio, 15.25ins x 11.25ins, [iv], 31pp plus 16 full page colour plates. The text comprises a poem by William Allingham. The plates were engraved and printed by Edmund Evans. Four of the plates have been repaired / strengthened to the page edges. Original spine has been relaid with slight loss. New endpapers. Crease to corner of front board. Some discolouration to the front board. Light browning to some plates. Would only describe as Good, but priced accordingly.
