1st Edition, 1st Printing. 13.2 20.7 cm brick red cloth with a photographic illustration with black line borders, a publishers device and gilt stamped titles to the front and gilt stamped titles on a black background to the spine. Top edge black, [vi] 182[4] pp with a double page photographic title page and two photographic illustration taken from the first production. Laid in is also a theatre programme for the first UK production of the play staring Dorothy Tutin and Michael Gwynn. A near fine book, bright boards with firm sharp corners. Internally clean, without name, inscription or bookplate. The dust jacket is very lightly dust marked with a touch of toning to the spine and a little creasing at the head. All in all a beautiful 1st Edition, 1st Printing of this Award winning play based on Christopher Isherwood's Berlin novels of the 1930s, and which in turn formed the basis for the musical 'Cabaret.' With the added bonus of a programme from the first UK production.
