Book Description

1st Thus, 17 x 21.5 cm yellow cloth with dark blue titles and decoration to the front and spine. 303[1]pp with 56 black and white drawings and five coloured plates including a double title page. The book cones with its original unclipped jacket priced at 10s 6d net. The boards have been well protected by the dust jacket and are clean with just a tiny 2mm brown bump on the front board that appears to be a manufacturing fault. Internally, the book is clean and bright and without name, inscription or bookplate and just a touch of spotting to the very edge of the text block. The delicate dust jacket, which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown), is much less faded on the spine than is usually found. It is generally very clean but there is some scuffing on the rear panel. There is also a little rubbing on the spine tips corners and edges with a little surface abrasion and minimal loss to the bottom corners and spine tips. There are a few tiny closed tears along the top and bottom edges with some associated creasing and one of 1.5 cm on the rear board.
