HMS Warspite: The Story of a famous Battleship
Book Description
HMS Warspite : The Story of a Famous Battleship, Captain S.W.Roskill, Collins, 1957, First Edition First Printing
Arguably the most famous, successful and long-lived of all modern battleships the seventh Warspite fought across both World Wars, with Roskill serving aboard for 3 years.
The book is in very good condition. The binding is straight and tight and the lettering on the spine bright. Some minor pushing to the top of the spine and wear to the corners. The end papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions.
The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in good condition with some minor repairs to the spine, small tear to the base of the front, some wear to the spine edges and a slightly darkened back cover. The jacket may or may not have been slightly trimmed to top and bottom, but if so uncertain whether this was pre or post printing. In any event has little impact on the aesthetics.
Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
