Gilt decoration to spine. 11.5ins x 8.25ins, [vi], xxxii plus frontis portrait and 48pp plates. xvi, plus frontis portrait, 67pp plates, 4pp adverts. Nine of the Corot plates and 12 of the Millet plates are described as "special plates" and these are printed one side only and generally on a thicker paper stock. The Essay on Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot was written by Gustave Geffroy and that on Jean-Francois Millet by Arsene Alexandre. VG.
