Contained in a brown slipcase with large silver heraldic coat of arms to one side. 15.5ins x 18.5ins, marbled endpapers, unpaginated but xi, (i), followed by 24 full page colour illustrations, each preceded by the title and faced by a page of text. Nearly all the illustrations depict two birds (male and female). Foreword by The Duke of Edinburgh. Preface by Lord Zuckerman. Introduction by Bruce Campbell. Printed by Percy Lund Humphries at the Country Press on Hollingworth all rag cartridge from The Original Turkey Mill, Kent. VG+ (just the slightest bit of rubbing to the corners prevents it from being fine) in a VG slipcase. NB heavy book, over 4kg pre-packing.
