Book Description
The companion volume to Brassai's 'Camera in Paris', published by Focal Press a year later in the series 'Masters of the Camera'. This series provided a good survey of the photographers' careers to date and these volumes are invaluable today for their inclusion of the 'technical data' so rarely present in the more self-consciously arty photobooks that followed in later years and discouraged any discussion of the technical elements of the photographic image.

First edition. 8vo., 95 pp, with black & white photographs throughout; 7 sections - The River, The Homes, The People, The Kids, The Air, The Lights and The War - followed by Technical Data; cream paper on boards, binding a little rubbed and dusty with surface tear on front cover, but interior bright and clean (lacks dust-jacket).
