Dealer Notes
Denucé 2309; Spence 860; Renard 1149; Rosove 240.A1 (”Very scarce”). This is the leader’s account of the Swedish Antarctic expedition of 1901-3. The expedition made important discoveries on the East Coast of Graham Land, but in spite of this, and the spectacular story of its rescue, Nordenskjöld’s account sold poorly in all its versions. This English version (which was also issued in the USA) was translated by Edward Adams-Ray, and copies infrequently come up for sale.
Author Nordenskjöld, N. Otto G. & Joh. Gunnar Andersson.
