Nat. Lib. Scotland catalogue t251; not in other bibliographies. Lloyd (1886-1958) was a keen mountaineer, and collector of art, beetles, and books (his collection forms the basis for the mountaineering book holdings of the National Library of Scotland). He made the first ascent of the Aiguille de Bionnassay, part of the Mont Blanc group, with his guides Adolf and Josef Pollinger. The present booklet comprises his lectures on the achievement read before the Rucksack and Alpine Clubs, and was most likely printed privately at his own expense. Copies come to market infrequently, and OCLC locates three copies in institutional holdings.
