The work has its roots in his 1970s play 'The History Maker'. Upon publication, the author signed and hand numbered 250 copies of this book, of which this is number 201. As ever, the dustjacket, cloth cover design, and the text include the author's own designs and illustrations. Published by Canongate Press, Edinburgh, 1994. First edition, first impression. A near fine blue cloth hardback with metallic silver cover design. Dustjacket is clean and unmarked, with some slight age toning to edges. Text pages are bright, clean and soundly bound, with mild age toning to page edges. Signed and numbered by the author in pen, to half title page. Text in English. XV+ 222pp + 2pp. Dimensions: Approximately 203mm high x 135mm wide x 25mm deep. Weight approximately 352g.
