The rather unusual fold - out plate at the rear ( approx 14" x 7") covers a number of topics of the day , Taxation, Reform, Europe, School Boards, Rebellion etc...nothing much has changed in 150 or so years it seems! This annual publication, one of a number at the time contains , variously, lists of Fairs & Markets in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset & Dorset. the weather, rising and setting of the planets and phases of the moon. a month by month chart listing events, holidays, anniversaries, birthdays of important persons, etc, predictions of coming events: Correct tables of Stamps and Taxes. A "High Water" table. The Prince of Wales & the Freemasons, Lost at Sea, The dangers of the seas, A ready reckoner, Eclipses, Articles of the calendar etc. The equation of time for setting clocks & watches. "All that can be desired or expected in an almanack"
