                        Includes an original HAND WRITTEN RECEIPT from Virtue & Co.London,  dated 1879 presumably when sold   later for  6 shillings.  Presumably they sat on a booksellers shelf since publication or the value remained unchanged around 20 years after publication!

Includes (bound in at the back of volume 8) "THE HISTORY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, MOTHER OF GOD, - Completed by the traditions of the east, the writings of the holy fathers and the private history of the Hebrews. by The ABBE ORSINI translated from the French by Rev. HUSENBETH again. Title pages and index bound in at the rear . (Some pages uncut at the rear of volume 8.)

                            Ornate gilt spine titles and decorations with gilt title and angel device on the upper board of each volume. Original publishers dark green, blind - stamped cloth.
Not dated, date given is from the British Library holdings.
Numerous engravings, the only signature on these i can find is on the frontispiece by J W Cocks(?). Each has the original tissue guard.
Original publishers price of 6 shillings per volume at the base of each spine in gilt.
