The printing of Pope s early octavos is extremely complicated, with different printers (and Pope) working together. Half-title present, with an engraving pasted to front paste-down (perhaps as a very large bookplate?). Volume III Consisting of Fables, Translations, and Imitations. London: H. Lintot, 1736. Half-title present. ESTC T5405, engraving pasted to front paste-down. Volume III Part II, Containing the New Dunciad, and memoirs of Scriblerus, never before printed. London: Dodsley, 1742. Half title present. ESTC T5425, with the misnumbered final leaf. Vol IV Containing the Dunciad with the Prolegomena of Scriblerus. London: Gilliver and Clarke. 1736. ESTC T5407. Engraving to front paste-down. Vol V. Containing an Authentic Edition of his letters. London: Cooper, 1739. ESTC T5410. Vol VI. Containing the second part of his letters. Second edition, corrected. London: Cooper 1737. ESTC T5412. Contemporary calf, worn, boards detached. Occasional mark to texts, title pages often a bit dusty, but by and large clean.
