4to. pp. 20 mounted albumen silver print photographs mounted on rectos of stiff card, surrounded by decorative brown borders, text in blue. Original blind stamped and gilt cloth, front cover rather darkened, silk endpapers stained from adhesive bleed through, all edges gilt, the whole a little shaken.
Showing scenes from famous fairy tales by Célestin Nanteuil and Masson, photographed by Franck, including Bluebeard, Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Puss in Boots, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, etc. The printed lithography by Nachman.
Rare, OCLC records copies at the George Eastman Museum and the Rijksmuseum only; I can find no trace of holdings in BNF or other French institutions.
