Book Description

Signed limited edition, number 505. 530 copies were produced of which numbers 1-500 were for sale and the remaining thirty, of which this is one, were for presentation. There is no indication to whom this was presented. Richard Aldington’s signature is below the limited edition statement and he appears to have numbered the book as well as it seems to be in the same handwriting. The stories are Deserter and The Lads of the Village. Quarter bound with blue cloth to the spine and printed papers with a geometric pattern to the boards. There is a printed title label to the front board and the dust wrapper matches the geometric pattern and also has a printed label to the front. Tanned to dust wrapper and endpapers. Dust wrapper is heavily chipped with considerable loss to the spine. A loose paperbacked dust wrapper protector is in use preventing the cloth spine of the book from fading. Papers to boards and cloth to spine are clean and neat.
