1937/38, two volumes, the first volume being the valuation of the silver collection of N. M. Penzer for insurance purposes in half morocco, all edges gilt; the second volume a duplicate bound in full buckram, but containing Penzer's manuscript alterations and additions, including his occasional disagreements with the original report, and a numbert of inserted letters from the authorities on the subject including two autograph letters from Sir Ambrose Heal. N. M. Penzer (1892-1960), British scholar and fellow of the Royal Geographical Society who specialised in Oriental Studies. Educated at Marlborough College and Cambridge University, Penzer's interests encompassed economics, geology, comparative anthropology, folklore, the history of exploration, and old silver. He was the author of many books including several works on silver, notably "Paul Storr...". "The Book of the Wine-Label". Sir Ambrose Heal (1872-1959), English furniture designer and businessman who became the chairman of Heal & Son after the death of his father. He also wrote a number of books including "The London Goldsmiths".
