The novel relates the story of a De Havilland Vampire pilot flying home from an air base in northern Germany to RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk on Christmas Eve 195, when his aircraft suffers a complete electrical failure mid-flight. The book is in outstanding condition with book and jacket near fine. One would guess maybe read once and then stored carefully The binding is tight and straight, the boards clean and bright with the gilt lettering clear and bright. The endpapers and pages are clean without tears, marks or inscriptions. Page edges have just a touch of foxing. The unclipped jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover has retained its colouring extremely well. Two tiny nicks and a crease to the rear cover. Will be dispatched promptly, fully insured and professionally packaged.
