The Second World War (6 Volumes)

Book Description
The Second World War (6 Volumes), Winston S. Churchill, Cassell, Variant Dustjackets
A series of six volumes chronicling the Second World War in enormous detail and illustrated throughout by numerous maps and diagrams. Churchill used his own notes and privileged access to official documents while still serving as Leader of the Opposition. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953.
This is a set with striking variant dustjackets (circa mid 60s), more colourful and better quality than the original economy paper based jackets used previously. Whilst the contents remain the same better quality paper is used internally also.
Uncommon in any condition but particularly so in anything approaching very good.
All dust jackets protected in a clear, removable cover. Looks extremely impressive as a set.
Generally the books are very good in very good dustjackets all protected in clear removable covers. Bindings are tight and straight, boards clean, free from mildew and the lettering to the book spines bright. End papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. Top edges retain some of their original tint. The unclipped dustjackets are clean with bright titling to front and spine. More specific points or blemishes are noted below
