The First UK printing published by Mundanus, Victor Gollancz in 1931. The BOOK is in Very Good++ or better condition. Original orange cloth with black titling. Some pushing at the spine ends. Light toning and spotting to the text-block. Some very light toning to the page edges. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The fragile paper WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good condition. Mild edge wear with some nicks, small closed tears and some loss to the upper spine (not involving any lettering) and lower front flap fold. A closed tear to the front upper flap fold extending across the edge of the upper front panel. Some age related marking but the scarce wrapper presents very well in the removable Brodart archival cover. The scarce casebound edition of William's rare fantasy novel.
