Book Description

Scarce signed Durrell debut! A very good first edition of the first book by naturalist & zoologist Gerald Durrell, who would become famous for his 1956 autobiographical work My Family and Other Animals, and who has enjoyed several successful TV serialisations, notably The Durrells (or The Durrells in Corfu). The Overloaded Ark chronicles a six-month collecting trip Durrell undertook to the then British colony of Cameroon in West Africa between 1947 & 1948. Very scarce signed.
