This is No 9 of a Limited Edition of 350 Numbered Copies; Signed by Squire de Lisle 26-11-82 at the Reception of the publication of the book. (I was there at the Reception.) Bound in dark red cloth with title in gilt on front cover and spine and also gilt pattern on front cover and spine; book covered with mylar style covering; all edges are in gilt; book is 4to – 8 ½” x 11 ¼”, 254pps + tipped in map of ‘The Quorn Country 1870’. Book is new so in mint condition. At the back of book is a page showing all the Subscribers – I am listed as being also a subscriber. Also included is a personal invitation to Vance Harvey from Squire de Lisle to Quenby Hall for the Publishing Reception on 26th November 1982 at 6.30pm; also a prospectus for the book plus several other titles, from the publisher, Sycamore Press. Trevor Hickman, who owned the Sycamore Press was a good friend of mine (he passed away in July 2020); I also know Squire de Lisle as he used to buy books from me from when I started bookselling in 1969. Book weighs 1.5kg.
