SPECIAL EDITION signed by the author, this being no 53 of 100 copies; and with an original engraved title page by Reynolds Stone; bound by Weatherby Woolnough Ltd in a red straight-grained morocco, with a gold edge ½” surrounding inside covers of book; front & end papers are a red marbled paper which is also used for covering the sturdy slipcase. AEG. Book has a Mylar covering. Folio - 9 ½ x 12 ½ , 280pps, incl numerous colour & b&w photos, illustr etc; printed on a heavy art paper - book weighs 2kg; Book has some excellent examples of famous books published throughout the centuries - ie Audubon s Birds of America. Book is in excellent condition but does have a slight odour from being stored for many years.
