Adapted for film in 1962 starring Tom Courtenay in the title role, this book is a modern classic about integrity, courage and bucking the system.
The book is in near fine condition. The binding is straight and tight and the lettering on the spine bright. There are three faint marks and two small marks to the front board. The toned end papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. There is faint foxing to the top edge and foxing to the bottom edge.
The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in very good condition with loss to the corner of the front cover, a very small nick to the top edge of the front cover, foxing to the front cover, nibbling to the top edge of the spine and foxing to the back cover.
Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
