The book is illustrated throughout with twenty-four colour stunning illustrations by C.E. Brock including the first illustration protected by an in-tact tissue sheet. There are two neat personal names and one date to the first free page. The book is in near fine condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean apart from a small mark to the back board and the gilt lettering and patterns on the spine and front board bright. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The top edge retains its original gold tint. In stunning condition, this book would make an impressive addition to a library or a wonderful gift. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
