Book Description

Introduction by Graham Laird explaining that little is known about the Irish yachtsman William Power other than the information contained in the handwritten & drawing-illustrated logs of his voyages in the 25-ton cutter "Olivia" recounting her cruises from Ireland in 1859 - 1867 to Bergen; Orkney; Shetland; San Sebastion; St. Kilda & the Faroes. This facsimile, reproduced from originals held by the University of Wisconsin, is printed in 300 screen which gives full detail & accuracy to the delicacy of William Power's fascinating & beautifully illustrated log.
